For those who prefer not to code but fancy helping out with the project, the documentation on the wiki needs some serious love to bring it up to a decent standard where everything is explained properly by this I mean
If you fancy helping improve the experience for the next user then head across to the wiki on Github https://github.com/magicbug/Cloudlog/wiki
I know the "Advanced Search" bit needs working on, but not sure where to start,
"Advanced Search is a really powerful tool, the best way to understand how it works is to have a go.. you won't break anything" 😄
g0trt haha, I can add more to advanced search that's just half of what it's capable of.
I had a plan in mind about the RPi installation. Best dig out the old text I had on my website
A very brief entry is done! A bit of a learning curve this wiki editing business 😅
Is the Authentication page at https://github.com/magicbug/Cloudlog/wiki/Authentication still relevant to general Cloudlog or is it relevant to a specific installation method?
g0trt Still valid
On the logging page I wrote "Using the Live QSO option has a real-time up to the second clock and can also use information from a connected radio..." which I think is incorrect based on something I read last night on Twitter.
Do the freqs come from software such as SatPC32? Can the sources for automatic freq entry be confirmed so they can be listed in the wiki.
g0trt SatPC32 interface will show up as a Radio "SatPC32" and then will populate Sat name, mode, freqs, modes, bands, prop mode and will track as the software changes
Which is what the new selection dropdown does for satellites
2M0SQL Is SatPC32 the only package that does this?
g0trt SatPC32 is the ONLY software that is integrated in this way so far, that said nothing stopping other apps doing similar.
I noticed this morning that the Logbook map doesn't populate with all QSOs in the log as has been previously written, what is the method behind the map pins (so that it can be written up) which will stop people like me panicking that they've deleted their best DX contact 😆
g0trt /logbook map shows the QSOs that are in the table below it, /dashboard shows QSOs from the last 7 days
Of course theres CAT apps for non satellite work that populate the freqs, modes, bands and track everything but I gave SatPC32 special status mostly cause I'm lazy and dont want to fill stuff in all the time
